Wrote most of this tune in my head while driving on US 31 between my two hometowns - Bloomington, where I live now, and South Bend, where I grew up. Had to pull over to a Bob Evans so I could write it down. Suzette Weakley suggested the line about feeling like the king, which pulled the whole story together. Tom Marshalek has been writing and performing songs since the 80's. His primary style is Rock/Alternative, influenced by classic groups like the Rolling Stones and Aerosmith, with crossover potential both in the directions of Country and R&B, serving to broaden the appeal of his songs.
